China's Imports of Other Antimony Ores and Concentrates Fell Sharply MoM in September [SMM Report]

iconOct 21, 2025 15:35

According to customs data released by SMM on October 21, China's imports of other antimony ores and their concentrates in September 2025 totaled 1,657.3 mt, a significant decline MoM from the 4,376.92 mt imported in August, falling again below the 2,000 mt mark. Market participants indicated that antimony market prices have not yet stabilized, and given the persistently large price spread between domestic and overseas antimony products, the sharp drop in antimony ore imports was expected. The long-term trend of tight imported antimony raw material supply is likely to continue. Therefore, in the short term, widespread production halts and cuts among many manufacturers may persist.
